U.S Customs and Border Protection
CBP agents monitor and check documents such as passport, ID cards, Visa, Immigration documents, federal and state-issued permit cards. After CBP clearance, passengers are allowed to cross the border of the United States.
Global Entry is a voluntary trusted traveler program provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. There are automated kiosks to advance the CBP clearance for pre-approved international air travelers on their entry to the United States. Global Entry members can participate in other CBP trusted traveler programs, as well as use the TSA Precheck Service.
Baggage Claim is located in the Main Terminal. TPA Baggage Claim area is divided into Blue on the Southside and Red on the Northside. Signage above escalators and elevators tell passengers on which side their airline carousel is located.
This level contains:
- Ground transportation area.
- Pick-up location for taxi cabs, limos, buses, and hotel shuttles.
- Escalators/Elevators are leading train station, by which passengers get access to Economy Parking and Rental Cars facility.
- Public telephones.
- Courtesy phones
- Backport/luggage carts.
- Skycap service.
